A vast expanse of nothingness

A sea of clouds
Underneath a swarm of crowds
Yet it’s the people who float
For it’s on life they dote
The clouds are tied down
Like a king without a crown
Drifting
And shifting
Carried through life on a breeze—
No louder than a wheeze.
An arrow—
Flying faster than a sparrow—
Is the only thing by which they’ll be saved,
And this vast nothingness braved.
